I have enjoyed doing illustrations for books which include the Wizard of Oz, Alice in Wonderland, Chocolat, the Narnia Chronicles and the His Dark Materials series. Examples of these can be seen on this website.
I am very proud to have produced designs for “Creature Candy“, a company that donates 10% of profits to protect endangered British wildlife.
I am also interested in taking on new commissions, and selling prints of past work.

About Jo
Originally from Surrey, I studied Maths and Fine Art at Aberystwyth University. At present I am working as a Maths teacher in Guildford. Whilst teaching I am continuing with my art work, specialising in black and white children’s illustrations and detailed drawings of animals. I am interested by contrasts in tone and markmaking to create bold and distinctive images. My university work included intaglio printmaking, a technique I hope to pick up again in the future.
