During my second year of my degree I chose the book ‘The Wonderful Wizard of Oz’ by L. Frank Baum from which to create a set of black and white illustrations. I am particularly drawn to stories which involve characters that are non-human so that there is scope to be more inventive when designing the
characters. When reading the book, the writing creates many vivid images which made imagining each composition very easy.
